What We Did in January 2010....

8th January 2010

We went into more detail about our topic, and did a worksheet we had recieved from Miss Uzma. We also discussed about which main issue of Hacking we were going to be focusing, and how we want the problem resolved.

After a lot of discussion, a lot of people got a bit frustrated up on the topic 'Hacking' as it was quite hard to find any recent information on the topic, and we couldn't find anyone suitable to interview.  We got into a disagreement.

15th January 2010

We talked about the strcture we would have to use in the news report, and Miss Uzma showed us a short video made by BBC, which gave certain tips on how to make a news report both short but informative.

We then decided that 'Hacking' wasn't a good topic, as it turned out that many of us did not enjoy working on it. Some of us said that we were not cooperating very well as the topic we were working on wasn't liked, and in order for someone to do something properly and efficiently, it should be something that one enjoys and likes.

After a lot discussion, we decided on a new topic, Animal Testing. Since most of us agreed on the topic, the decision was made. Our director, Hamna, then said that the decision was final, and there would be no more changing of topics after that as we were running out of time....

22 January 2010

We did a draft of the script and did some research on Animal Testing. We also thought of the Interview Questions. We decided that even though we had not yet found someone to interview, it would be more convenient to think of some suitable questions in the meantime.

26 January 2010

We had a meeting in the library while lunch and tried to finish the script.

29 January 2010

Amal did some more research and we discussed with Mis Saba on ways to improve our script. We also found out that Body Shop was one of the many companies that are against Animal Testing and do not use test their products on animals. We decided that we would interview their manager who was based in the UK.

The test of Civilisation video was a complete eye-opener. I've often heard about animal testing but I never envisaged that it could be this awful! Thanks for posting and working on this girls!
